In the 2019–20 winter, ephemeral notes and diagrams on the presidential primary cycle began to quickly shift in tone as news of the growing global coronavirus pandemic seized our news cycle. These meandering images, with snakes as a recurring symbol for both fortune and fear, grapple with the politics of health and collective anxiety.
